SEO (Search Engine Optimization) optimises for Google’s ranking algorithm. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) optimises for AI-generated answers — the ones ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot produce when users ask a question. AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) focuses specifically on getting into featured snippets and AI answer boxes.
They overlap, but they’re not the same. A page can rank #1 on Google and still never be cited by ChatGPT. ViCite measures the GEO/AEO side — the part traditional SEO tools miss entirely.

ViCite is independently built and operated from Romania 🇷🇴. Our database lives in Frankfurt under Supabase. Our app runs on Vercel. We use Google and OpenAI only as inference providers — never to train on your data, never for ads, never for behavioural tracking.
That EU posture isn’t marketing — it’s in our privacy policy and our infrastructure. We’re GDPR-native by default, not as an afterthought.
